We keep talking a lot about the global warming and other environmental issues. Big conferences on environmental issues are organised every now and then in big cities but nothing practical is being done or implemented anywhere, not even in the big cities where these conferences are organised or where intelligent minds come to do research. Even if anything is being done to protect the environment it is not on a scale required. Big cities though can provide good job and career opportunities to many but are not able to provide a safe and clean environment for the people to live in. Cities like Bangalore are facing problems like water shortage cause most of the water in natural water bodies is polluted and unfit for all practical purposes. In most of the households water is being provided using water tanks. People are facing a lot of difficulties as the most essential resources 'WATER' is not available. Even they have to buy drinking water on everyday basis. Moreover, the air in such cities is so polluted due to heavy traffic and continuous construction work going on every now and then. We are witnessing that many children are already having respiratory disorders.
Human Beings! This is time for all of us to think where are we going and what are we going to leave for our children and the future generations to come. Here at this point we need to ponder about the root cause of the problem. Why Big cities are facing such issues? One of the key problem is which is leading to all other problems is the lack of job opportunities in smaller cities or the saturation of various MNCs, or IT companies in metro cities. People have to willy-nilly come to these cities for the sake of job as smaller cities are impuissant to provide opportunities according to their qualification. This is leading to extreme pressure on the resources available in that city because the population is exceeding the threshold of what the city can bear.
To every action there is equal and opposite reaction so, what we are giving to nature will surely return to us. Due to this saturation of jobs in big cities there are other social issues arising as well such as loneliness .....many of the people are lonely nowadays as they are living in big cities away from their families. It has been observed that not just youth but also elderly people are facing many emotional and social behavioural disorder due to this. It's high time that big companies need to think about this and must spread out to other smaller cities as this will not just be beneficial for the environment of the cities but also for them. Always remember what we give is what is returned to us!
